Will.i.am Condemns New Jackson Album

WILL.I.AM has condemned plans to release a new Michael Jackson album more than a year after his death - calling the proposal "bad" and "disrespectful".

The King of Pop's former manager, Frank DiLeo, recently confirmed a posthumous record featuring 10 never-before-heard songs from the Thriller hitmaker will be released this November (10).

The album will reportedly contain tracks recorded in the 1980s as well as more recent collaborations with artists including Akon.

But the Black Eyed Peas star, who worked with Jackson on his re-released 2008 Thriller album, is refusing to support the project, insisting his music hero would never have agreed to the idea.

He tells the Associated Press, "I don't think that should ever come out. That's bad. He was a perfectionist and he wouldn't have wanted it that way. How you gonna release Michael Jackson when Michael Jackson ain't here to bless it?

"Now that he is not part of the process, what are they doing? Why would you put a record out like that? Because he was a friend of mine, I just think that's disrespectful. What's wrong with what he already contributed to the world?

"So what? You don't disrespect someone when they're gone... How much can you suck from his energy?... Freaking parasites!"

I believe that Michael had a lot of music recorded in the 80's that will be received with great joy by MJ's fans. I've heard a lot of his song preparations on different CD's where he practiced the songs and music at his home studio and it was fantastic to hear these parts of songs. Nothing has to be perfect - it just shows his musical genius at work.Miss you and love you MJ!

In a way, I agree with Will i am, but I DON'T think it is disrespectful to release these songs. Some of us fans just want to continue to hear MJ's voice in our heads and in our hearts forever, and the fact that it is something new and different only makes it more exciting to me, however, we his TRUE fans are not going to criticize him so harshly if it isn't what we expected either. Will is on the money when he points out that Michael was a perfectionist, as we saw in MJ's This is it movie. He probably would have had a few final changes or finishing touches to add up until the final release of these cuts. Will would know since the worked together on some projects. Don't be too harsh on Will, he makes a very valid point here. Also, I don't know if its true or not, but I read somewhere that Rodney Jerkins may be helping out with this release and if he is, I trust that he knew MJ's likes and dislikes enough to produce a sound that MJ would be pleased with, since Rodney helped MJ produce his Invincible CD back 2001.

Namaste. The music of William on the "Thriller 25" album was crap. Maybe he was the one who was leeching from Michael. Using his old past fame to make a buck or two. And maybe Mike was to spaced out or far gone to notice what a piece of crap those remixes were. Mike had reached his peak in the Thriller decade. After you have reached your peak you can only go down. His work later had very good moments. But it wnet down and down. Also with his private life. History was nice but not that good. Ghosts was nice but could have been a lot scarier. His performences on stage didn't was wha it used to be. Invincelvbe was crap. Michael only lived on his fame from the old glorious days. And on drugs. Maybe William was the leech to jump on the let's do it like Mike-train with th 25 Thriller release. Maybe not. Maybe it is better to wait for new album to reales. Let's wait a year ot two. After that it is not realistic anymore to say what Mike would have wanted or not. The guy is freakin dead.! It happes with every dead artist. Mostly for the fans. I would like to hear the old songs. Not the new ones. They can go stragiht to the garbagecan. Or I will give it away to somebody. And everybody knows how the Jackson family thinks. They loved him and they miss him. But it also about the big money. Let sell dolls, museuams, amusemntparks, kindergartens, Neverlandpark, or whatever for freakin stuff. If they haven't enough billions after Mike died. Who are the leeches? His family, Willaim? Or maybe me?I would like to have a billion dollars. W....w.....w.....whahahahahahahah. Ohm shante.
