Will.i.am Asked For A Room At Prince Charles' Royal Residence
26 June 2012The Black Eyed Peas rapper met with Britain's heir to the throne after handing his $800,000 (£500,000) judging fee from the U.K. version of The Voice to the royal's Prince's Trust charity.
The money will go towards helping disadvantaged teens learn the computer and technical skills needed to progress in the modern workplace.
But the rapper almost overstepped the boundaries during a chat at his Clarence House residence by asking Prince Charles if he would consider taking in a lodger.
He tells London's Evening Standard, "I told Prince Charles I was looking for a flat here and said, 'This is a big old crib you've got here. It's a big old house. So could I get a little space?'"
