Will Young Evacuated From Theatre After Fire Scare
British singer/actor Will Young was evacuated from a theatre in Manchester, England midway through his performance in Cabaret on Wednesday afternoon (26Sep12) after a fire alarm cleared the venue.
The Leave Right Now hitmaker and his castmates, including actresses Michelle Ryan and Sian Phillips, were instructed to get out of The Lowry venue during the interval of their matinee performance as a precaution.
Young's co-star Ian Parsons took to Twitter.com to reveal all about the drama, writing, "Interval fire alarm at Cabaret this afternoon. Outside in costumes and makeup right in front of the audience."
The fire scare wasn't serious and the cast was allowed to return to the venue to complete the second half of the production.
The show is currently touring the U.K. ahead of a West End run beginning next month (Oct12).
