Nick Lachey - Will Nick Lachey's Baby Carry On Boy Band Legacy?

She and husband Nick will welcome their first child in September, and although the couple just wanted a "healthy baby", Lachey has revealed he had a preference. Back in March, he tweeted, "I'm excited either way! But I always wanted a boy first". Known to be a huge basketball fan, the singer is probably looking forward to teaching his kid some moves on the court, though maybe he wants him to continue his musical legacy? His group 98 Degrees this week confirmed they are reforming for the MixTape Festival in August. The band's 1998 album '98 Degrees and Rising' went four times platinum in the US, and Nick told MTV News that he's excited to be back, saying, "I think we've all been lucky in the 11 years since we last performed together to go on and do stuff individually.Drew [Lachey] was the winner of 'Dancing With the Stars' season 2, and I've gone and done some solo stuff. But there really is nothing like coming together as a unit, as a group, as a band, on the stage, and I think we all miss that".

Lachey was previously married to the pop singer Jessica Simpson, who recently welcomed her first child with former Nfl star Eric Johnson.
