Whitney Houston: Coroner Found Cocktail Of Drugs In Her System
According to the report, police arrived at the scene to find Whitney Houston face down in a bathtub full of water "hot enough to have burned her back." It was also noted that blood was coming from her nose. In her report, Kristy MCCracken of the Beverly Hills Police Department wrote that the late singer had "possibly overdosed on a narcotic substance, prescription medications, over the counter medications and alcohol." Huston had apparently been complaining of a sore throat on the day of her death. Her assistant suggested that she take a bath and briefly left the hotel. When she returned, she found Houston face down in the overflowing tub. The doctors that performed the autopsy have confirmed that the cause of death was a combination of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use.
Whitney Houston passed away at the Beverly Hills Hilton on February 11, 2012, the day before the 2012 Grammy Awards. The ceremony was altered at the last minute to include a tribute to Houston. Jennifer Hudson performed a somber version of Whitney's biggest hit; a cover of Dolly Parton's 'I Will Always Love You.'| Comment on this article |
