Westwood: 'Mclaren Was Beautiful'
The designer fell for MCLaren in the 1960s and the pair went on to open a clothing shop on London's King's Road, which became a Mecca for punk fashion in the 1970s and launched Westwood's career in fashion.
Westwood, who has a son, Joseph Corre, with the former Sex Pistols manager, has bid farewell to the the punk rock icon, who lost his battle with rare cancer mesothelioma on Thursday morning (08Apr10).
She says, "When we were young and I fell in love with Malcolm, I thought he was beautiful - and I still do. The thought of him dead is very sad. We hadn't been in touch for a long time."
Corre, founder of famed British lingerie company Agent Provocateur, called his father "a real beacon of a man".
