West Honoured As Advocate For Social Change

Rap mogul KANYE WEST is to be honoured by The New York Chapter of One Hundred Black Men for his outspoken social views. The star is to be named an Advocate for Social Change by the organization, which provides opportunities for educational and economic empowerment in African-American communities. Other celebrities being honoured will include NFL star CURTIS MARTIN and gospel singer KIRK FRANKLIN. The ceremony will take place on 22 February (07) as part of the group's Annual Benefit Gala, according to AllHipHop.com. One Hundred Black Men was founded in 1963, and has over 10,000 members worldwide.
