Were Booing Fans Unfair On Madonna?

Madonna received a less than warm response after her performance in Paris which went on for a mere 45 minutes.

In a YouTube video, concert goers can be heard to be shouting, 'Rembourssez! Rembourssez!' in unison, which means, 'Re-pay'. Some audience members even called the Queen of Pop a 'sl*t' in French and threw things like empty bottles on to the stage, according to the UK's Sun newspaper. The cost of tickets for the gig ranged from 80 euros to 280 euros. It was a last minute addition to the Mdna tour intended as a small, intimate gig with 2,500 people at the Olympia Club and was even billed as a 45 minute long show according to some reports, which suggests the angry response was due to fans neglecting to read the small print. The live streaming of the show received more dislikes than likes on YouTube as well of a mountain of abuse that caused the channel administrators to disable further comments.

It seemed that the addition was made in order for Madonna to make a public apology for suggestions that she mocked France's National Front leader Marine Le Pen by flashing a swastika on her head in a video in the background of one of her shows. 'I know that I have made a certain Marine Le Pen very angry with me', she told the crowd. 'It's not my intention to make enemies.'

Some peoe are just ignorant! This was not billed as a full show, it was billed as a promo/special. They are never more than about 45mins. Those who booed and shouted their obscenities were in a very small minority. The majority of fans loved the show. The 'protesters' had planned the action since they brought with them printed sheets with various ridiculous comments on (before having seen the show) to hold up! . Whilst the rest of us are not brain-washed we do follow a modicum of decorum and I, for one, have no wish to be associated with so-called Madonna fans who indulge in such childish and abusive behaviour. To those fans I say "So you're not happy with Madonna, then just go elsewhere!" Ungrateful is just not strong enough to describe such rude and loutish behaviour. There is no room for it amongst true Madonna fans.
