Wentz Amazed He Survived 27

FALL OUT BOY rocker PETE WENTZ was so hooked on drugs just two years ago, he didn't expect to live past the age of 27.
Wentz claims he, his bandmates and music bosses fully expected the bassist to die at 27, like his rock heroes Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin and Kurt Cobain.
The 29-year-old says, "I spent most of the year I was 27 toxic, just completely over-medicated. I was stoked to make it past 27. Everyone was really worried. My management company were panicked, because I was out of the office, and 'pharmaceutically engaged'."
Bandmate Patrick Stump confirms his claims: "There was a countdown clock and everything. I remember, our manager called me up on Pete's 28th birthday and screamed, 'We made it!'"
