Weird Al Yankovic Settles Feud With Lady Gaga

Weird Al Yankovic, the world renowned satirical songwriter, has ended his feud with Lady GaGa after finally getting permission to record the singer's hit song 'Born This Way. Weird Al Yankovic was initially denied permission to satirize the anthem according to a lengthy post on his blog, reports E! Online.

Dubbed 'I Perform This Way', the parody planned on poking fun of at "all things Gaga" and proceeds from the song and video were set to be donated to the Human Rights Campaign. However, after informing Gaga of his plan to cover her track, he was told to send the finished song to her team for vetting. Al eventually heard back from Gaga's manager, to find that the cover had been rejected. At the time, the 51-year-old told his fans, "Nobody is more disappointed than I am". However, Yankovic has since revealed that Lady Gaga never rejected the song in the first place and was happy for him to cover the track, saying, "Apparently the fact that she didn't approve it was news to Lady Gaga herself! Gaga's manager has now admitted that he never forwarded my parody to Gaga-she had no idea at all. He's sorry. And Gaga loves the song".

Since releasing his first comedy song in 1976, Weird Al Yankovic has sold more than 12 million albums, recording over 150 parody and original songs. His works have earned him three Grammy Awards and nine nominations.
