Watts And Ledger Maintain Friendship
Naomi Watts and former boyfriend Heath Ledger have managed to remain friends even after breaking up while in the public eye.
The couple dated for two years after meeting on the set of the film Ned Kelly and ended their relationship in May 2004.
Watts explains, "That was the first taste I had of interest in my romantic life, and it was certainly difficult.
"He had more experience at it than I did, and we would do our best just to hide away."
The Ring star insists the media wasn't interested in their break-up because they remained friends and Watts even has a relationship with Ledger's fiancee Michelle Williams, who is also the mother of the couple's one-year-old daughter MATILDA.
She adds, "There was no third party; there was no victim. We're on great terms - great friends, and I also have come to know Michelle a little bit."
