Was Chief Keef Really Hacked Before Lil Jojo Tweets?
As has been widely reported, Chicago police are investigating links between rapper Chief Keef's Twitter account and the murder of 18-year-old rising star Lil JoJo. Keef faced a gigantic backlash on Twitter for taunting the recently deceased Lil JoJo, though he later claimed that his micro-blogging account had been hacked.
Though celebrities getting hacked is fairly common, questions have been raised given Keef and Lil JoJo had considerable history. In fact, the latter released a song called '3Hunna K' in which he ripped into Keef, his ally Lil Reese and their 300 Squad. Lil JoJo was gunned down in Chicago's notorious South Side Englewood neighborhood. Local police are now turning their attention to links between Keef's camp and the murder after the rapper told Twitter followers that Lil JoJo "wanted to be just like us", adding "LMAO". The backlash was almost instantaneous, though Keef later claimed that he in fact never made the controversial tweet, saying, "My Twitter has been hacked.I think I'm making a new one dumb hating ass people". The situation was made more curious after Keef's manager Rovan Manuel opened up to the Chicago Sun-Times about his client's beef with Lil JoJo, adding that he didn't think the tweets meant "anything personally". Manuel said, "A lot of the stuff Keef does, that's just cause he's a kid.People forget that he's a kid, a teenager . and kids make mistakes. He makes mistakes the hard way".
Keef also blamed hacking for his inflammatory comments towards Lupe Fiasco, after calling him a "hoe". He claimed someone was trying to make him look bad by taking over his account.
