Waits' Music Manager Dies
TOM WAITS and FRANK ZAPPA's former music manager HERB COHEN has died, aged 77.
Cohen died of unknown causes on Tuesday (16Mar10) in Napa, California.
In addition to Waits, his clients included Zappa's Mothers of Invention, Alice Cooper, Tim Buckley and Linda Ronstadt.
Business partners Cohen and Zappa also set up DiscReet Records and companion labels Straight and Bizarre Records in 1969. Their business ventures collapsed in 1976 amid litigation between the pair.
