Wainwrights Sang To Mother On Deathbed

RUFUS and MARTHA WAINWRIGHT made sure their late mother KATE MCGARRIGLE passed away in a "haze of love and song" by serenading her on her deathbed.
The singing siblings were at their mum's bedside when she passed away in January (10), after losing her battle with cancer.
And Rufus reveals the family wanted to make sure her death was as peaceful as possible, so he and his sister both sang to her as she slipped away.
He says, "We were singing to her as she lay in bed. I was at the front holding her hand and looking into her face as she died. I could see her in the tunnel, going past me."
