Wahlberg Slams Beckham's L.A. Move

MARK WAHLBERG has blasted soccer superstar DAVID BECKHAM - insisting his move to Los Angeles has ruined a "quiet" celebrity neighbourhood.

The Departed actor lives close to the Beverly Hills home Beckham purchased following his move to Los Angeles Galaxy in 2007.

He is adamant the British star's presence has encouraged hordes of photographers to swarm into the area - and is convinced Beckham is wasting his time trying to boost soccer in the U.S.

Wahlberg says, "Man, the Beckhams. It used to be so quiet on my road. Then David moves in with his family. Suddenly we've got paparazzi hanging out day and night. Now they'll follow any car that drives down the road...

"I'm not telling Beckham to take his family home. I'm just not sure why he came to America in the first place. Man, we don't want your soccer. There's no way Americans are going to buy the idea of 90 minutes of running around without much happening. Thanks for trying guys, but we'll stick to baseball and basketball."

Mark is a typicle Bostonian. When your young and live in the inner city it's noise, noise, noise. You grow up hoping to get a break to move out and into a better and quieter neighborhood. Wahlberg got lucky with acting. He has that real Boston accent and even teaches his fellow actors how it goes. The fact is if a known couple came to live in my nice quiet rich neighborhood I'd voice it as longand and hard as I wanted. Beckhams got a mouth too. Just squeeze of some of the Pepperonis from the bushes and tree branches with a nice pellet gun.

Mark wahlberg needs to grow up - i think his middle name is jealous... none of his business who moves into the same street as him... maybe if he had more paps fussing over him he'd feel happier... he needs to grow up, like it or lump it or move out! beckhams have every right to move wherever they want and its obvious why they moved to USA, and they are loved unlike mark wahlberg - who is he?

I respect Wahlberg's position on his neighborhood although he is wrong about American soccer and Beckhams contribution. Plenty of Americans do want MLS Soccer. Fans are increasing in numbers as well the league itself. Beckham has made a major contribution to the popularity of soccer in the USA. With all due respect, he is the biggest star in your neighborhood or else the paparazzi wouldn't be there waiting for him.
