Vince Vaughn Set To Be Involved With Re-boot Of 'The Brady Bunch'

Vince Vaughn is set to be at the helm of yet another re-boot, as the comic actor is rumoured by Deadline.com to be taking co-developed and executive producer role for the return of the much-loved 1970s show 'The Brady Bunch'. The original sitcom was created by Sherwood Schwartz and starred Robert Reed and Florence Henderson. Running on ABC between 1969 and 1974, it centred on Mike Brady (played by Reed) as a widowed architect with three sons, Greg, Peter and Bobby. He married Carol Ann Martin (played by Henderson), a single mother with three daughters, Marcia, Jan and Cindy.

The show's run was relatively short compared to some at the time, but its legacy has lasted in popular culture, and there'd most likely be considerable interest in the US should it return. This time the story will differ a little. Written by Mike Mariano, who can list credits including 'Raising Hope' and 'My Name Is Earl,' the plot will focus on a divorced Bobby Brady, with children of his own. He'll be getting remarried to a woman who also has kids, as well as sharing a child together. Confusing? Well, in addition, their ex-spouses are still part of their lives. The idea is that it will be accurately reflect the changing demographic of the modern family, updating it for the 21st century.
