Vince Vaughn - Vince Vaughn And Owen Wilson Filming Movie At Google Headquarters

Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson have been allowed to film scenes for their new Google movie at the Internet giant's California headquarters.

The Wedding Crashers stars have teamed up for new comedy The Internship, which focuses on two unemployed salesmen vying to land coveted work placements at the popular web search engine.

It has now emerged Google bosses threw their support behind the project and allowed the cast access to the company's fabled Silicon Valley headquarters in Mountain View, California.

Vaughn reveals he was intrigued to see the Google offices as there have been so many rumours about what it is really like to work at the high-tech building.

He tells Bloomberg, "Being from the Midwest, Google always felt like The Wizard of Oz or the Chocolate Factory (in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory). (It's) such a different type of place to work at than what is considered a traditional work environment. With the... access to food, the sports on campus, the massages and all that stuff."

Director Shawn Levy insists Google bosses have been co-operative and haven't attempted to meddle in the filmmaking process, adding, "It's been a really interesting partnership in my production and Google where... it's not like I have to do everything they want in the script, it's very much still a comedy and a narrative, but trying to get the culture of Google right has been a big part of the work we have done."

Google bosses say in a statement, "We're excited that Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson chose the Google campus as a backdrop for their first film together since Wedding Crashers. We're sure they'll have a humorous take on life in Silicon Valley and look forward to seeing the result."

The Internship opens in the U.S. in June (13).
