The country star and his wife peformed at the 3rd And Lindsley venue in aid of local teen Sophie Salveson, who suffered a severe stroke as she was exercising in March (12).

In the months since, 19-year-old Salveson, whose communication skills have been affected, has had to learn to walk again and earlier this month (Jun12) she underwent a procedure to rebuild her skull, according to Nashville's News Channel 5.

Gill and Grant heard of the teenager's plight and agreed to help raise funds for her medical care by staging the Monday night (25Jun12) concert, which also featured jazz guitarist Larry Carlton and Broadway singer Mike Eldred.
