Spice Girls - Victoria Beckham Shows Up For Spice Girls Reunion
After much speculation over whether or not she'd turn up, Victoria Beckham showed her face last night along with the rest of the Spice Girls, at the re-launch of the Viva Forever musical. Wearing a sleek black outfit and wearing her trademark expression (which consists of stifling anything that may vaguely resemble a smile), Victoria chose to display her enthusiasm by other means, namely via Twitter. She posted a message on her profile that read "Good morning London!! Song of the Day (is) Reunited (by) Peaches and Herb... Sunny day in London, so nice being home!!!"
The Sun have published pictures of the five Spice Girls, back together again in public for the first time in five years. Speaking to Sky News, Mel C (Sporty Spice) explained that their reunion was the first time that all five of them had been together. Geri Halliwell (aka Ginger Spice) explained that they'd had the dream of having a musical based on their songs many years ago. "And we thought 'well, who can we get to produce it?' And we all sort of said 'wouldn't it be amazing if it was the producer of Mamma Mia?' And we got her! And then we got Jennifer Saunders!"
Throughout the interview, the former Spice Girls admitted they were "all buzzing". apart from Victoria, that is, who shuffled from foot to foot at the edge of the group, as they joked about how uncomfortable she looked. She did eventually pipe up, to insist that they are doing this for the good of their fans and "empowering women." Not to make money. No. To 'empower women.'
