Victoria Beckham Accepts Libel Damagesby Contributor | 25 June 2007
VICTORIA BECKHAM has been awarded damages following high court proceedings over magazine claims that she was "picky" and "rude".
Star magazine was taken to court following the publication of the article, which Posh's solicitor told the court was "untrue and unfounded".
The magazine had claimed that an insider working on Posh's US reality TV show had alleged that the wife of football legend DAVID BECKHAM was "full of herself and not very nice".
"The crew get a big laugh out of how she seems to think she's 'all that' and then some doorman or waiter has no clue who she is," the magazine added.
However, Posh's lawyer Gerrard Tyrrell told the court that filming on the programme had not even begun when the allegations were published, meaning they could not have been made.
"The story was completely inaccurate and defamatory of Ms Beckham," Mr Tyrrell said.
VICTORIA BECKHAM: COMING TO AMERICA is set to hit the air on July 16th, just before the former SPICE GIRL and her husband move to LA.
