Three victims caught up in an Alabama bar shooting which resulted in the death of rapper Doe B have filed suit against the venue's owners.
T.I.'s hip-hop protege, real name Glenn Thomas, was killed after gunfire erupted at the Centennial Bar and Grill in Montgomery on 28 December (13).
Student Kimberle Johnson was also shot dead, while fellow clubber Tim Hamilton died from his wounds earlier this month (03Jan14).
Five other people were also injured during the incident, and now three of the surviving victims - Keldric Landon, Clarence Young, Jr. and Ferro Bennett - have launched legal action over the shooting, amid allegations bar security staff failed to adequately check patrons for weapons, which were banned from the club.
Bar owner Nicole Bankhead and bosses at a third party company hired to provide security have been named among the defendants. The plaintiffs are seeking compensation for medical expenses, loss of work, and pain and suffering.
Suspects Darius Thomas, 25, and Jason Quan MCWilliams, 25, have been charged with two counts of capital murder and are being held without bail.
