Legendary British sports commentator Murray Walker has been diagnosed with cancer.
The international voice of Formula 1 racing, 89, has revealed he was diagnosed with cancer of the lymphatic system during tests following a recent fall, which left him with a broken pelvis, but he is confident he'll beat the disease.
Walker tells the Bbc, "They've caught it incredibly early. It's treatable. The doctors say my condition is mild and I'm very hopeful."
He will undergo chemotherapy throughout the summer (13) and has pulled out of plans to attend the British Grand Prix at the end of the month (28-30Jun13) to concentrate on his cancer battle.
Many ticket-holders couldn't get into the O2 Arena show on Tuesday night (September 19th) because they didn't bring photo ID to match their booking.
An album re-release, a new song and a documentary mark the singer's legacy this year.
The film will be the first in the Marvel Cinematic Universe led by a person of colour.
The actor plays the titular hero in the forthcoming adaptation.
