Kristen Bell has been left "speechless" after fans of Veronica Mars smashed a $2 million (£1.25 million) online fundraising target to fund a planned movie of the cult U.S. Tv drama
The actress and show creator Rob Thomas launched the Kickstarter.com campaign on Wednesday (13Mar13) in a bid to land enough donations to finance the film.
The pair offered rewards to fans who contributed to the initiative, which was given a 30-day deadline, but the target has been reached less than 24 hours after the project kicked off.
Pregnant Bell has taken to her Twitter.com page to thank their fans for their support, and the star admits she is overwhelmed by their backing.
In a post, she writes, "I love you guys. You are all So spectacular. I am speechless."
Thomas adds, "Hallelujah! It's a green light my friends. I love you all, but particularly the donors among you. Vm fans best in world. So grateful."
