Vera Wang Husband Separation: Were Black Bridal Gowns A Sign?
The Telegraph have published the statement issued by Mario Grauso, the president of Vera Wang's company. The statement read "Vera Wang and Arthur Becker have mutually and amicably agreed to separate. They remain devoted parents to their two daughters." Vera and Arthur married in 1989. Arthur - the CEO of the technology company NaviSite - is understood to have played an important part in the development of his wife's lucrative fashion empire. They have two daughters together, Josephine, 19 and Cecilia, 22. A source close to the couple told The Telegraph that they "will not let this impact the running of the company. They have worked too hard to build it up."
In 2006, Vera, now aged 63 explained her motivation to marry, back in 1989, in an interview with New York Magazine. "I was the girl who nobody thought would ever get married. But Ralph Lauren said, 'Get yourself a husband and a family.' Anna Wintour said, 'You have got to get a family going here. You've been single for three decades now.' So I married my husband."
