Vanessa Paradis Glad For More 'Interesting' Roles
Vanessa Paradis is finding her film offers are becoming more ''interesting'' now that she's older.
The 39-year-old actress believes the type of roles she is being asked to play nowadays are getting ''better and better'' the more she ages which has increased her love for acting.
She said: ''The movies and the parts I'm being offered are becoming better and better. In the age that I am now, you get to play all kinds of situations that I couldn't play at 20 years old. The offers weren't interesting a few years ago. Now they are and I'm loving it.''
Vanessa - who has two children, Lily-Rose, 12 and Jack, 10, with long-term partner Johnny Depp - portrays a single mother raising a young son with Down's syndrome in her latest movie 'Café de Flore', which saw her having to ''find that masculinity'' within herself to do the character Justice.
In an interview with The Scotsman, she added: ''She's so different from me so I had to erase a bunch of things about myself.
''I couldn't be seductive, sensitive, vulnerable, feminine. It was clear that she had to be very masculine because she is both the mother and the father to this boy. I had to find that masculinity in myself.''
