Valerie Bertinelli Wants To Be A Producer
Hot In Cleveland star Valerie Bertinelli wants to eventually step behind the camera and swap acting for producing.
The 52-year-old actress admits she doesn't want to stay in the spotlight for much longer and hopes to land a new role as a producer.
Bertinelli is already testing out her behind-the-scenes skills by pitching a TV pilot to bosses at American network TV Land, but she wants to enjoy a few film roles before she takes up producing full time.
She tells industry website Variety.com, "Not all of us can be Betty White, acting until we are 90. I would like to produce television, and I'm slowly stepping into that corner. I tried to sell a pilot to TV Land and I'm coming up with more ideas... The older I get, the more ideas I have."
