Usher's Ex-wife Appeal Against Custody Ruling
The ex-wife of Usher, Tameka Raymond (née Foster), is planning on a return to court to overturn the ruling that stripped her of primary custody of their two children, TMZ reports.
Last week, after a long drawn out court battle, Usher was granted primary custody over Usher Raymond V, 4, and Naviyd Ely Raymond, 3. Now, Tameka is demanding that the pair return to court, as she believes that the ruling was biased given that the law firm that provided Usher's representative lawyer has ties with the ruling judge. Following the ruling, Tameka vowed to appeal against the decision and now it looks as though she is ready to follow through with her promise.
Tameka insists that the Usher, who was born Usher Raymond IV, was represented by a solicitor who was personally responsible for nearly half of the contributions to the judge's re-election campaign in 2008. She also claims that the lawyer served on the judge's re-election campaign committee.
During the initial ruling, Tameka has pointed out that there was no evidence presented in court that showed that she wasn't fit to take care of her two kids, as well as claiming that she presented clear evidence of Usher's "past, current, and future inability" to care for the two children.
As of now, the judge has not ruled on her motion to appeal against the decision.
