Ure To Reform The Rich Kids

Former ULTRAVOX frontman MIDGE URE is reforming his short-lived rock band THE RICH KIDS for a charity show in London.
The group was formed in 1977 by ex-Sex Pistols bassist Glen Matlock, along with Steve New and Visage star Rusty Egan. Ure joined on vocals, while The Clash's Mick Jones enjoyed a brief stint as the band's guitarist.
The Rich Kids released just one album before they disbanded in 1978.
Ure, who went on to join Ultravox in 1979, has now brought the former bandmates back together for a one-off charity concert in London in January (10).
The show, which will see Matlock, New, Egan and Ure reform, will take place on 7 January (10) at the city's O2 Arena.
