Urban Scores Highest Country Debut
KEITH URBAN's amazing year has been topped by the news he's country music's top hitmaker. The Aussie, who wed NICOLE KIDMAN earlier this summer (06), has scored the highest-debuting country single in the 62-year history of America's Billboard pop chart. His new single ONCE IN A LIFETIME crashed into the new chart at number 17, according to early estimates. The single has surpassed two previous country tracks that debuted at number 18, EDDIE RABBITT's EVERY WHICH WAY BUT LOOSE and GARTH BROOKS' comeback 2005 hit GOOD RIDE COWBOY.
