Union J's JJ Hamblett annouced today via his twitter that he is expecting his first child with girlfriend, Caterina Lopez.
Union J's JJ Hamlet is going to become a father at 25 with his long-time girlfriend Caterina Lopez. The singer made the announcement today (Wed 18th Sept) himself with his 25,000 twitter follows, as he wanted them to know first.
"Guys I want you to be the first to know that I've got some big news...I'm going to be a daddy... :-) :-) woop x," he tweeted.
The X-Factor contestant had already broke the news to the rest of the Union J lads- George Shelley, Jaymi Hensley and Josh Cuthbert, who are already picking out names for the little guy. JJ later posted, "My girlfriend and I are super excited and the boys can't wait to be uncles! They are already thinking of names beginning with J lol :-) x."
The boys were more than happy for their fellow band mate with Josh Cuthbert congratulating JJ on his twitter, "SUPER DOOOPER WOOOOPER HAPPY FOR MY BROTHER JJ :-) :-) :-) :-) hi my names Uncle Josh..just call me Uncle.Pidge. :P hehe! Love you bro x".
JJ is the oldest member of the British boy band and met his American girlfriend Caterina Lopez, whilst working as a DJ in a night club, the couple do share a home and do try to keep their relationship under the radar....until now thanks to twitter.
The American model and actress also thanked her followers via twitter, "Thank you for all the beautiful messages ! WE are so happy to welcome our little monkey into the world very soon ..#itsaBeautifulLife".
Hopefully Caterina won't be too hated from all the heartbroken Union J fans, as it is well known that girlfriends of boy band members can find themselves receiving hate and abuse daily, especially from teenage girls - their fans are so devoted!
Here at contactmusic.com we all wish JJ and Caterina the best of luck for their journey into parenthood.
