Uma Thurman Signs Up For Motherhood

UMA THURMAN is taking a break from playing the action-loving femme fatale and signing up for a new indie comedy.

The KILL BILL actress will star alongside MINNIE DRIVER and ANTHONY EDWARDS in the upcoming movie MOTHERHOOD, reports Empire magazine.

Directed by Katherine Dieckmann, the film is a day-in-the-life-of style feature in which Thurman plays a mother preparing for her daughter's sixth birthday party.

Motherhood will reportedly cost $10 million to make and shooting is set to begin next month in New York.

The film is particularly apt for British actress Minnie as she is currently expecting her first child.

Meanwhile, Uma recently revealed that she finds her Hollywood sex symbol status surprising as she was an ugly duckling as a child.

"I had baby fat and a big nose, big lips and big eyes that looked like they were taped to the side of my head," she told Thomas Crosbie Media

"I was tall, really young and I had a funny name. I had not grown into my features. I was just trying to make it from history to English class and still feel good."
