Tyler Perry - Tyler Perry Wows Fans With New Slimmed-down Look On Magazine Cover
Actor/director Tyler Perry has wowed fans by showing off his 30-pound (13.6 kilograms) weight loss on the cover of fitness magazine Men's Health.
The former heavyweight star of the cross-dressing Madea film franchise slimmed down for his new action thriller Alex Cross and he admits he has never felt better.
He tells the November (12) issue of the publication, "I walk into a room with a lot more confidence. All my life I've tried to hide my height. I was taller than everybody else and stood out, so I would slouch and try to hide it.
"But, with what I've been able to do with my body, I'm owning it. I'm standing up when I walk into a room."
To lose the weight, Perry committed to hour-long morning gym work-outs which included cardio, weightlifting and cable work and regular afternoon Krav Maga sessions, which also helped him to perfect fight scenes in the film.
The 43 year old adds, "Now, I feel like it's Ok to be thought of as sexy."
