Two Weeks Remain To Vote For 'Film For The Future'

by | 18 September 2008

Cinema aficionados have a fortnight in which to vote for which film they would wish to share with future generations.

As part of the British Film Institute's (BFI) 75th birthday celebrations, 75 special contributors from the worlds of film, television and current affairs have named their choice and moviegoers across the UK can now suggest their film for the future.

Russell Brand's pick for the Visions for the Future poll was Raising Arizona while Jamie Winstone suggested Quadrophenia and Simon Pegg championed Raising Arizona.

Sir Roger Moore favoured Lawrence of Arabia, Little Britain star Matt Lucas backed Billy Elliott and Cate Blanchett selected 1979 movie Stalker.

Voting is open until September 30th and the top five choices will be screened at BFI Southbank from January 2009 with the aim to extend to various regional venues.
