Two Men Arrested For Dark Knight Rises-related Threats
On Monday (23Jul12), Maine resident Timothy Courtois was taken into custody after telling police, who pulled him over for a traffic violation, he was on his way to shoot a former employee after watching the Batman film.
Cops searched his vehicle and turned up an Ak-47 assault weapon, four handguns, ammunition and news clippings about Friday's (20Jul12) massacre in Aurora.
FBI agents have been called in to aid local police officials with their investigations.
In a separate incident, Clark Tabor was arrested at a Norwalk, California screening of the movie on Sunday (22Jul12) following complaints from witnesses he made threats that alluded to the horrific rampage - minutes before the film began.
According to a Los Angeles Country sheriff, he shouted, "I should go off like in Colorado. Does anybody have a gun?" Tabor has not been charged.
The news comes just days after accused gunman James Holmes, 24, allegedly opened fire in a crowded midnight screening of the movie in Aurora on Friday, killing a dozen people and leaving 58 injured.
Holmes, who appeared in court for the first time on Monday (23Jul12), is currently being held in Centennial on suspicion of first-degree murder.
