Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 Photos: Well, This Is Awkward

New photos from the 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2' surfaced online on Thursday (August 16, 2012), showing Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart during happier times. Awkwardly timed in the midst of one of the biggest celebrity splits in years, the photos are probably the studio's plan to get fans of the franchise excited again, after a rough couple of weeks for everyone concerned.

Newly surfaced photos show Robert Pattinson and his former real-life love Kristen Stewart in each other's arms. Summit Entertainment released the images showing the pair intertwined while sitting in a flowery meadow - a stark contrast to the couple's off-screen relationship, which has all but collapsed after Stewart admitted to cheating on the British star with 'Snow White' director Rupert Sanders. Box-office experts believe the cheating scandal shouldn't have too much of an impact on the final chapter of the huge grossing Twilight franchise, and Summit's president of worldwide marketing bullishly told Entertainment Weekly, "While it is studio policy not to comment on the personal lives of actors, Summit is moving full steam ahead and looking forward to this November's opening of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part 2". Other shots in the new set of photos show Stewart's Bella with red vampish eyes (which photoshop pranksters are likely to have a field-day with) and Taylor Lautner's character Jacob coming to Edward's defense.

Though Pattinson will soon have to worry about the Twilight promotional trail, he's currently busy promoting David Cronenberg's 'Cosmopolis'.
