U.S. Tv director Emily Squires has passed away at the age of 71.
She died of unknown causes at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City on 21 November (12).
Squires graduated from the University of North Carolina in 1962 and began working at beloved U.S. children's series Sesame Street seven years later.
She went on to direct over two dozen episodes of the programme, which earned her a total of six Emmy Awards, and she also wrote for classic soap operas Guiding Light, As the World Turns, and Search for Tomorrow, which starred Morgan Fairchild, Jennifer Aniston's actor father John Aniston, and Jane Krakowski.
In addition, she shot a handful of documentaries, including Visions of Perfect Worlds, a conversation with the Dalai Lama, and penned the 2000 book Spiritual Places In and Around New York City.
The actor plays the Queen frontman in the forthcoming movie 'Bohemian Rhapsody'.
The novel's author saw a cut of the film and loved each of the changes the movie's director had made.
The filmmaker departed the project over differing 'visions'.
