Beloved British trumpet player Kenny Ball has died at the age of 82.
The musician passed away on Thursday (07Mar13) after suffering a bout of pneumonia.
Ball was the lead trumpeter in Kenny Ball and his Jazzmen in the 1950s and 1960s, and they reached number two on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Chart in 1962 with their version of Midnight in Moscow.
In 1963, he became the first British jazz musician to become an honorary citizen of New Orleans, and he went on to become a well-known face in the U.K. with regular Tv appearances alongside comedy duo Morecambe and Wise in the 1970s.
'House' star Laurie received star number 2,593 on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week.
