True Blood Recap: Eric Has A Change Of Heart, And Unwanted Visit Whilst Luna Struggles To Shift
The last episode of True Blood saw things getting increasingly outlandish with each passing scene, with fairies, chancellors and back-stabbings. Fortunately this week saw no change in direction, with the non-human goings on continuing to peak.
SPOILER ALERT for those who don't want to know! Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) became the latest vampire to be visited by Godric, leaving him feeling a little more than sullen whilst the rest of the newly aligned chancellors - that's him, Bill (Stephen Moyer), Russell Edgington (DENIS O'HARE) and the Sanguistans - revelled in the aftermath of their blood-soaked communion with Lilith (Jessica Clarke). Eric is now having a change of heart as to whether he should carry on eating humans, whilst Bill is thinking on completely parallel lines to this, even suggesting they bomb a Tru Blood factory.
Meanwhile Luna (Janina Gavankar) is struggling with her shifting powers, which wouldn't be so bad if not for the fact that she now looks like Sam (Sam Trammell) and unless she wants to force herself to throw up, then she isn't going back!
Sookie (Anna Paquin) is still away with the fairies, but as she glimpses once more into the past it takes us to the faithful night her parents were killed, but the murderers's identity has been withheld for another time. That is unless Claudine (Lara Pulver) tells her who the vamp killer is.
After falling into the brujo trap in the last episode, Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) has managed to claw her way back to freedom - well not exactly. Eventually organising a 'fake' séance (yep, it turned out to be real), he finds out that the only way to escape the demon is if Terry (Todd Lowe) or Patrick (Scott Foley) dies.
Elsewhere in the episode, Tara's (Rutina Wesley) nearly goes for the jugular of a high school acquaintance at Fangtasia, before Pam (Kristin Bauer Van Straten) intervenes. Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) was kidnapped by Hoyt's (Jim Parrack) new gang, only to be released by him rather than the more gang-favoured killing, and Alcide (Joe Manganiello) asks for the rest of the lyceums to hunt down a human as part his quest for pack leadership, which also doesn't go quite to plan.
