Trivium Cancel Venezuela Show Over Visa Issues
The band was due to play at La Casa Del Artista in the capital city Caracas on 16 September (12) as part of a South American tour, but they have now called off the show due to problems with their paperwork.
A statement from the group reads, "There are visa and other issues preventing us from legally entering the country and performing. We tried everything in our ability to avoid this result. However, it is unfortunately completely out of our control.
"We are absolutely gutted that we are being prevented from playing and we promise to make this up to our incredible and loyal Venezuelan fans on our next tour of South America. Our shows in Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia and Mexico are 100 per cent confirmed and will not be affected."
Frontman Matt Heafy also apologised to fans in a post on his Twitter.com page, writing, "Venezuela... We are so sorry and upset that the show was pretty much taken from you all and us included. We will make it up to you one day."
