Travis Barker - Travis Barker Set To Release Star-studded Debut Album

TRAVIS BARKER, the American musician best known for being the drummer in the acclaimed rock band BLINK 182, has announced plans for his debut solo album which will feature a number of high profile collaborations, reports Entertainment Weekly. The record will be titled 'Give the Drummer Some' and is set to hit shelves on 15th March 2011, on Interscope Records.
The much anticipated album will feature artists including LIL WAYNE, THE GAME, SWIZZ BEATS and the RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE guitarist TOM MERLLO plays on a track titled 'Carry It'. Elsewhere, CROOKED I, JOELL ORTIZ and JOE BUDDEN feature on tracks, and rapper LUDACRIS sings on another unspecified song. Despite releasing six studio albums with BLINK 182, 'Give the Drummer Some' will be Barker's first solo release. He has worked on a number of projects outside of music, including his clothing company 'Famous Stars and Straps' and has also designed footwear for DC Shoes.
In September 2008, the 35-year-old barely survived a plane crash after performing at an event with JANE'S ADDICTION vocalist PERRY FARRELL. Barker and the American DJ ADAM GOLDSTEIN were the only survivors and it took one year for the drummer to recover from second and third degree burns.
