Train To Return To Indiana State Fair A Year After Stage Collapse Tragedy
Seven people were killed when high winds brought down scaffolding and rigging just before country duo Sugarland were scheduled to hit the stage last August (12), and Train's double-header with Maroon 5 five days later had to be relocated.
The two groups agreed to donate the proceeds from their concert to local charities set up to help the families of those killed.
But Train are hoping their return to the State Fair will be a much happier event this year - they'll join Blake Shelton, Barry Manilow, Pat Benatar and Journey among the first acts to be announced for this year's fair.
Investigators and lawmakers are still trying to figure out who was to blame for the 2011 stage collapse. Sugarland stars Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush offered their account of what took place backstage in the run up to the tragedy in court earlier this month (Apr12).
