Trailer For 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter' Hits The Web

20th Century Fox have released the first trailer for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Based on the novel by Seth Grahame Smith, the film mixes history and horror, with Abraham Lincoln - as the title suggests - as a vampire hunter. The title role is played by BENJAMIN WALKER and the film also stars Dominic Cooper, Rufus Sewell and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

The trailer for the film, which is produced by Tim Burton (Sleepy Hollow, Edward Scissorhands) and directed by Timur Bekmambetov (The Wanted, Night Watch), begins with an Abe Lincoln voiceover, saying "And I heard, as it were, the noise of thunder, and I looked and behold it was death saying 'come and see'." There looks to be plenty of high-octane action scenes in the movie, including one in which the main characters jump from one train carriage to another, above a fiery inferno. It's a relatively short clip, at one minute and twenty-one seconds; there will no doubt be further teasers released by the film's makers before its release in August this year.

A film adaptation of another of Seth Grahame Smith's books, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is also slated for release in 2013, according to imdb.com, though no further details on the film are available. BENJAMIN WALKER is also scheduled to appear in a 2013 version of Paradise Lost with Dominic Purcell and Rufus Sewell.
