Tragic Stone Roses Fan's Family Call Off One Love Chart Campaign
Devotees of the reunited band had hoped to get the group's One Love anthem to number one in the U.K. pop charts to mark the passing of Brahney, who went missing after attending The Stone Roses' Heaton Park gig in Manchester, England on 29 June (12). His body was found in Manchester's Ship Canal on Monday (09Jul12).
Fans took to Facebook.com to urge Brits to download the track via iTunes in the hope of getting it to the top of the charts, but Brahney's family have called for the cancellation of the campaign.
A post-mortem on Brahney's body has proved inconclusive. Police are currently carrying out toxicology tests as they appeal to the public for any information about what may have happened to the tragic concertgoer after the Heaton Park gig.
