Taylor Swift has started day trading.

The 22-year-old singer started off buying and selling stocks via on online brokerage account as a hobby but has found out she has a talent for it.

A source said: ''She started doing it to pass the time but she's made some serious money.''

Taylor is not the only famous person to indulge in trading, fellow star Kim Kardashian recently helped raise money for The Trevor Project - which provides suicide prevention services to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) teenagers - by working on a trade floor.

Revealing where she was planning to donate the money, she added on her blog: ''The firm lost more than 600 employees in the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center in 2001 and on the 10th anniversary of the attacks, they donated all revenues from their trades to charities around the world. I was honored to take part! (sic)''
