Tourist Arrested At Lennon Building
Police detained the tourist, who is facing a misdemeanour trespassing charge, after he was spotted on the roof of the Dakota building in Manhattan on 12 January (11). He was reportedly travelling in the building's elevator when Ono, who still lives there, got in. Authorities claim the man did not recognise the artist/musician and only entered the building to take pictures.
According to cops, his case will be dismissed if he completes a day of community service within the next six months.
Lennon was shot dead by Mark Chapman outside the Dakota in December, 1980.
