Tori Spelling's Husband In Intensive Care

Tori Spelling's husband Dean McDermott is in intensive care following a motorbike accident.

The reality TV star was out dirt biking with two friends on Tuesday (29.06.10) when he crashed,

Dean - who has two children, son Liam Aaron, three, and daughter Stella, two, with the '90210' actress - was left bleeding heavily from a wound on his right side at the scene and couldn't move.

He was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital where it was discovered he suffered a punctured and collapsed lung.

Although he is in a "lot of pain", Dean is expected to make a full recovery.

Tori, 37, told People: "His friend called me and said he was in the ER (emergency room).

"He didn't want to scare me so he just said he had a crash and that they were X-raying him.

"At first I was mad. I was p***ed that he was out biking and crashed.

"But when I showed up and saw him lying there, and they told me they were admitting him to ICU with a collapsed lung, my heart dropped. My biggest fear had come true."

The 43-year-old speed enthusiast had promised his wife he would give up professional biking and only ride recreationally after fracturing his shoulder earlier this year in a similar accident.

The couple were seen rowing over his dangerous hobby on their reality TV show 'Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood'.

But Dean has now vowed to get rid of his bikes and never ride again following this latest incident.

She added: "He's in a lot of pain. He's taking this as a sign and realising family is too important to risk his life.

"When I first saw him he just softly said, 'I'm so sorry.' I just held his hand and cried. That's when he said, 'I'll never do this again. You and the kids mean everything to me.' "
