Tony Lucca, Former Mouseketeer, Auditions For The Voice
It took Christina Aguilera a little time to remember him from her days as a Mouseketeer but when Tony Lucca auditioned for The Voice last night, it brought back a few memories for the 'Dirty' singer. Lucca, now aged 36, was once a star of Disney's Mickey Mouse Club, the show that launched Christina's career, as well as that of Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake.
When The Mickey Mouse Club ended though, so did Lucca's hopes of finding fame. And although he has worked consistently as a musician in recent years, he hasn't hit the big time like his former co-stars. After a heart-rending performance, in which all four mentors pushed their buttons to acknowledge his talent, Lucca selected Adam Levine to be his coach for the show. Christina looked visibly disappointed that she didn't get to coach him through the coming rounds of the show. After his successful audition, Christina showed signs of recognizing him and went to find him backstage and told him "Britney used to have the biggest crush on you!"
Another contestant to impress Christina was Chris Mann who performed 'Because We Believe,' a song previously made famous by Andrea Bocelli. Cee Lo Green was the first judge to press his button and turn around, shortly followed by Christina. Mann decided that he wanted Aguilera to be his coach.
