Spandau Ballet - Tony Hadley Thrilled British Athletes With Karaoke Gold

Spandau Ballet frontman Tony Hadley thrilled Great Britain's athletes as the Olympics closed on Sunday (12Aug12) by joining them for a karaoke rendition of their London Games motivational tune Gold.
The 1980s hit became the unofficial anthem for the team as runners, swimmers, cyclists and rowers won medal after medal in the U.K. capital over the past two weeks - and Hadley made a special stop at Team GB house ahead of the closing ceremony on Sunday to pay tribute to the athletes.
He said, "It's (Olympics) been absolutely tremendous. I'm so proud... You are now officially the Spandettes."
Hadley then led a singalong of the 1983 smash hit.
