Tomlin To Produce Off-broadway Show
Veteran actress Lily Tomlin is following in the footsteps of SIR Elton John and JAY-Z by producing a New York stage show.
The Desperate Housewives star is teaming up with her longterm partner Jane Wagner to bring one-man production My Trip Down The Pink Carpet to the off-Broadway stage. The show was written by Will & Grace's Leslie Jordan.
Tomlin joins a host of stars lending their names to productions - Sir Elton John and his partner David Furnish are currently involved in Broadway's Next Fall, while Jay-Z has collaborated with Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith to co-produce musical show Fela!
My Trip Down The Pink Carpet is due to open at the Midtown Theater on 19 April (10) for a 12-week stint.
