Tom Morello Gears Up For Us Tour

by | 30 September 2008

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE guitarist Tom Morello is preparing for a solo tour of North America.

In support of Morello's new album THE FABLED CITY, the shows will incorporate both acoustic and full-band electric sets.

The new record is has been produced by Brendan O'Brien and features guest appearances from SYSTEM OF A DOWN'S Serj Tankian and Shooter Jennings.

Morello says "On The Fabled City Tour, I will be playing both acoustic and electric guitar. I want to start off with the darker acoustic songs and then build to some of the wildest electric guitar playing I have ever unleashed on stage in my career. The idea is half Dylan/half Hendrix."

Elsewhere, Morello is scheduled to appear at the annual New Yorker Festival in New York City on October 4th – where he will perform material and be interviewed by The New Yorker’s James Surowiecki.
